Tax Relief and Government Reform
Helped cut general fund taxes leading to a three-year freeze on taxes.
Tax exemptions for active duty military personnel.
Voluntarily cut staff payroll and supported reform of community grants.

Enforcing Illegal Immigration Laws
Supported measure requiring businesses doing work with the County to verify employees' legal status.
Supports Police Department’s policy to arrest those caught driving without a license.
Called on Police Department to enforce laws to prevent solicitation of work in traffic.
Opposed to government hiring halls.

Improving Our Quality of Life
Sponsored legislation preserving more than 100 acres in Lake Ronkonkoma and Lake Grove.
Worked for the establishment of dog-run areas at county parks.
Obtained funding for projects designed to help revitalize Main Street in Smithtown.
